A Factory Tour for Students from Ueda College of Fashion！

A Factory Tour was conducted
for Students from Ueda College of Fashion！
On November 4th, we welcomed 1st and 2nd year students from Ueda College of Fashion, a total of 39 participants joined us—our largest group.
The tour began at our Second Factory, where students observed laser processing. Afterwards, we moved to the Head factory, where they followed the full sequence of denim production: shaving, chemical treatment, hole-making, repair, and distressing.
By watching the actual processing on-site, the students were able to experience the craftsmanship of our artisans up close. One of the most memorable moments was during the repair process, where the professionals demonstrated high-speed sewing techniques. The students watched intently, their eyes shining with excitement.
We heard comments such as, “This machine is completely different from the ones we use at school!” and “Amazing!”—capturing the unique atmosphere of the factory. Between sessions, we also had the chance to talk with the students about fashion shows and garment-making, which was refreshing and inspiring for us as well.
From the teachers, we learned that the 2nd year students had studied denim processing in class, and we believe this tour provided a valuable opportunity to deepen their learning. For the 1st year students, we hope it served as an experience to expand their imagination for future studies.
After the tour, we received many comments such as “It was my first time seeing denim processing in action” and “It was so much fun.” We are delighted that the experience provided students with new discoveries and meaningful learning opportunities.
